Preset Programs

Olympius comes with FOUR Preset Programs. The primary program is a broad spectrum set of Rife frequencies following a Circadian “Bell Curve” format observed during daytime activity periods and runs for 16 hours. It is designed to improve the attention and focus of the wearer while reducing stress and tension. The wellness program uses higher Rife frequencies designed to reduce pain and relax muscles while improving circulation to encourage rapid recovery from sports related injuries. Power Supply:

3.6 Volt NiMH power-cell that is recharged using the internal USB connector when plugged into either a 5V USB wall transformer, or from a computer’s USB port.

Controls and Indicators

Olympius features a Spectrum Light Emitting Diode (SLED) and two pushbutton switches on the back of the instrument. A green LED indicates power has been applied to the instrument and it is recharging. White and orange-red LEDs indicate the status of the running program. The white LED flashes to indicate the Attention program is running. The orange-red LED flashes to indicate the pain reliever program is running. The pushbuttons are used to start and stop the base program, start and stop the pain reliever program and enter and control the Critical Flicker Fusion measurement program.

Operation

Olympius must be charged to operate and its power-cell is designed to operate up to 12 hours a day for one week before needing to be recharged. Olympius is started by pressing the Start pushbutton and holding it for one second. The white LED flashes to indicate the Attention program has started. The white LED will flash once a minute. Once started Olympius can be carried anywhere on the body, such as around the neck like a pendant, or in a pocket. If the Select pushbutton is pressed briefly while any program is running the appropriate color LED will flash once to confirm the running program. The Attention program will operate continuously for 12 hours and then automatically shutoff. Pressing and holding the Start pushbutton will end the running program and shutoff Olympius. To start the Pain Relieving program, while the Attention program is running press the pushbutton twice and release. The orange-red LED will flash twice to indicate the Pain Relieving program has started. This program will run for 20 minutes and then the Attention program will be restarted for its 12 hour cycle. Pressing the pushbutton three times will start the Critical Flicker Fusion measurement program.

Critical Flicker Fusion

To activate CFF the user presses and holds for 2 seconds the SETUP dome pushbutton switch on the bottom. The Spectrum LED will flash Red six times to confirm you are entering CFF measuring. Olympius should now be held close to the user’s face with the Spectrum LED directly in front of the user’s dominant eye. The Spectrum LED will now appear to be lit Red continuously, when it is actually turning on and off at a very high frequency. When the user sees the Red Spectrum LED begin to flicker, or pulsate, the SELECT dome pushbutton switch is pressed once to stop the test. Your two digit CFF number is then displayed as a series of Spectrum LED flashes of White for the first number (the tens digit) followed by a brief pause and then Green the one’s digit number. The value for zero is represented by a Blue flash of the Spectrum LED. The user should record his or her CFF rate for comparison to previous and future measurements. Following the CFF number display Olympius will now run your CFF number for 10 minutes as a therapeutic program prior to restarting Preset Program 1. When running the CFF program the Spectrum LED will flash twice in the heart-beat format every ten seconds.

Customer Updates

Olympius’ Preset Programs can be customized by using NuTesla’s proprietary flash drive interface. Olympius should be connected to your computer’s USB port while pressing and holding down the Start pushbutton.  The Olympius will then enumerate as a Rhythmedics flash drive and a pop-up window should appear. Open the flash drive and open the NuTesla.htm  file that appears.  This will redirect you to a secure area of the NuTesla website to allow you to download trial programs which are simply dropped on to the Rhythmedics Flash Drive.
