We have been working behind the scenes to enhance the Rhythmedics experience for our customers, and today we are announcing the deployment of the ‘Enhanced’ Instrument Information Screen. Our customers may already be familiar with the information screen, but for those who aren’t, I’d like to introduce you to the Secondary Interface and some of the features you can look forward to.
Secondary Interface
All Rhythmedics instruments are built with a Secondary Interface for viewing information about the instrument and executing software updates. It is the 2nd way you can interact with your instrument (the first being program selection buttons for changing modes). Access the Secondary Interface by holding down the “Setup” button while connecting the instrument to your PC/MAC (this can be done with the included usb cable). The instrument connects to your computer as a USB flash drive. This drive is the Secondary Interface.
Information Screen
The Secondary Interface contains a file, “NUTESLA.HTM”, which is Information Screen. Open this file in a web browser. The information screen contains a list of the preset programs with a very brief description of each.
ENHANCED INFORMATION SCREEN
NOTE: the enhanced screen presents itself automatically when connected to the Internet, except in Internet Explorer which prompts you to allow execution of the script. You can choose to allow the script, but the enhanced screen may not render properly.
The Enhanced Information Screen includes several additional features:
- Instrument type is displayed
- Product serial number is displayed
- Full preset program listing for names and descriptions
- Upgrade Available indicator
Information about your Rhythmedics instrument will be more easily available to you, along with additional program details, and news of software updates that have been made available. Access updates by clicking the “Update Available” link.
Software Updates
To execute software updates, move copy or save the Rhythmedics update file to the Secondary Interface drive. The LED indicator on the instrument will turn green on a successful update, or yellow or red in the event of a error. The secondary interface will create info files you can open in a web browser in the event of a error. Forward these files to NuTesla for assistance.
