Just as a pendulum regulates a mechanical clock, Rhythmedics Pendulum helps to regulate your body’s internal clock. Preset Programs

Pendulum comes with five Preset Programs. The primary programs are the daytime and nighttime programs. The daytime program runs whenever the Pendulum is upright and is designed to improve the attention and focus of the wearer while reducing stress and tension. The nighttime program is designed to lead the user to fall asleep quickly and stay asleep longer whenever Pendulum is lying on its side. The Energize program contains higher Rife frequencies designed to support the wearer’s increased activity level. The Boost program is designed to assist in the transition from Energize back into daytime mode. Meditation program is designed to help the user stay calm and focused while meditating, praying, or even while intensely studying.

Power Supply

3 Volt NiMH power-cell that is recharged using the internal USB connector when plugged into either a 5V USB wall transformer, or from a computer’s USB port.

Controls and Indicators

Pendulum features three Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and an internal motion and position sensing device. A green LED indicates power has been applied to the instrument and it is recharging. White and orange-red LEDs indicate the status of the running program. The white LED flashes to indicate the daytime program is running. The orange-red LED flashes to indicate the nighttime program is running. The motion and position sensing device is used to change the program and enter and control the Critical Flicker Fusion measurement program.

Operation

Pendulum must be charged to operate and its power-cell is designed to operate for one week before needing to be recharged. Pendulum runs continuously as long as it senses some motion during its 16 hour daytime or 8 hour nighttime programs. If no motion is sensed during those times Pendulum shuts itself off after 16 hours of daytime or 8 hours of nighttime operation, depending upon its position (upright or lying down) to conserve the power-cell. Pendulum restarts automatically as soon as it is moved. The white LED flashes to indicate the daytime program is running and will flash once every minute. The orange-red LED indicates Pendulum is running nighttime sleep Bio-Pulses. If Pendulum is shaken ten times the appropriate color LED will flash to confirm the running program. To enter the meditation program lay Pendulum on it side to start the sleep program as shown by the orange-red LED flashing once. Then hold Pendulum upright and shake until the orange-red LED flashes four times. The orange-red LED will then flash twice every minute to indicate the meditation program is running for the next 30 minutes. After the meditation program completes it returns to the daytime program.

Critical Flicker Fusion

To activate CFF the user presses and releases the SELECT dome pushbutton switch on the bottom. The Spectrum LED will flash Red six times to confirm you are entering CFF measuring. Pendulum should now be held close to the user’s face with the Spectrum LED directly in front of the user’s dominant eye. The Spectrum LED will now appear to be lit Red continuously, when it is actually turning on and off at a very high frequency. When the user sees the Red Spectrum LED begin to flicker, or pulsate, the SELECT dome pushbutton switch is pressed once to stop the test. Your two digit CFF number is then displayed as a series of Spectrum LED flashes of White for the first number (the tens digit) followed by a brief pause and then Green the one’s digit number. The value for zero is represented by a Blue flash of the Spectrum LED. The user should record his or her CFF rate for comparison to previous and future measurements. Following the CFF number display Pendulum will now run your CFF number for 10 minutes as a therapeutic program prior to restarting Preset Program 1. When running the CFF program the Spectrum LED will flash twice in the heart-beat format every ten seconds.

Customer Updates

Pendulum’s Preset Programs can be updated by the customer using a NuTesla’s proprietary flash drive interface. Pendulum should be connected to your computer’s USB port while pressing and holding down the Start dome pushbutton. The Pendulum will then enumerate as a Rhythmedics flash drive and a pop-up window should appear. Open the flash drive and open the NuTesla.htm file that appears. This will redirect you to a secure area of the NuTesla website to allow you to download trial programs which are simply dropped on to the Rhythmedics Flash Drive.
